On August 10th several members of the bands Dope, Even X came into the studio for a little work from Trent Gould. They saw our hall of fame pictures and wanted to know what they had to do to get their pictures on the wall of fame. Then they spotted our Mushroomhead Mask and ran back down to Piere’s. Within minutes we were given a symbol, and a drum Head all signed by the band members of Dope.
The bands are on tour this summer with the Jagermeister SOS tour. The Summer of Sin Tour also has Manntis, Bleed The Sky, Makeshift Romeo, and A New Revolution. Dope has also been heard many a time, serving as background music to televised shows and "Debonaire" was even the entrance theme song for former WWE, Extreme Championship Wrestling (ECW), and current Total Nonstop Action Wrestling (TNA) wrestler Terry Gerin (Rhino), as well as appearing in the film The Fast and the and Furious (2001) Film. They say not to judge a book by its cover. Never is that sentiment truer than in the Case of the emotional hardcore powerhouse EVEN X. Mixed by Logan Mader (Puddle of Mudd, Junkie xl), the bands Sunland Records debut album, Angry Mirrow, is a brutal sonic landscape in which a swirling sea of melody and rhythm not only assaults the senses, but surprisingly elevates the spirit as well. Well Dope now has earned as special place on the wall of fame and here is the picture of Dopes contribution to our growing wall.
