Grade A is once again proving to be the Midwest choice for Tattoo Studios that bands, connected through word of mouth, are choosing to get ink. Evans Blue, said the word on the road is when you go to Piere’s in Fort Wayne you have to visit this great tattoo studio called Grade A. This was what Evans Blues had to say after talking to Dave, a one time merchandise manager for Three Days Grace, and who is now on tour with Evans Blue. Dave had come in while on tour with Three Days Grace and got tattooed along with Barry (T.D.G. guitarist), whom also got inked. Once Dave had realized that he was set to return to the Fort with Evans Blue he was quick to give Ron a call for a second chance to get ink done. Along side Dave this time was Parker from Evans Blue who wanted to get a portrait of Marilyn Monroe to commemorate his late mother, which Ron eagerly tackled because of his love for the band and their amazing music. Evans Blue was formed in early 2003 when the five musicians, then in three different bands, connected through a local musician’s message board. The chemistry of the group was evident from the first rehearsal. The same message board then brought the band to the attention of producer Trevor Kustiak of The Pocket Studios in Toronto, and they began working together in March 2005. Since then, the band has written and recorded their debut album, The Melody and the Energetic Nature of Volume, which was completed in early November 2005 and released in February 2006 from Hollywood Records. Their first major single is "Cold (But I'm Still Here)", which is receiving a great deal of radio airplay. Everyone has a great time with the band on Saturday July 16th, We took a lot of pictures And of course everyone signed Ron’s guitar. The pictures can be found in the gallery. Along with Parkers tattoo Matisyn got his ears gauged out at 2ga. Trents loves putting big holes in other peoples ears cause they bleed a lot. We enjoyed the show and was amazed at the talent this band has. They are going to be really really big very soon. We sent them out on the road with lighters and t-shirts after partying on the tour bus. We can not wait till We see them again in Sept when they come back with Breaking Benjamin. |
