For Sevendust guitarist John Connolly, coming to Fort Wayne, Indiana is a real pain, in the most literal sense. I definitely remember Fort Wayne. My tattoo artist lives in Fort Wayne, so every time I'm there I'm in a lot of pain up on stage,” Connolly told whatzup. I usually sit down for about five or six hours before I go up on stage, get tattooed and do the show. When we're done, we keep on tattooing. Every time we come through, I stop over at Grade A Tattoos.”
Pain aside, Sevendust are glad to be back on the road for a headlining tour that kicked off earlier this year in support of their new self-produced album, Next, and will be performing at Piere's on February 2. Their latest work, which debuted last October, was released under Sevendust's own label, 7Bros., with financial support coming from new indie partner WineDark Records. While Next is the band's fifth studio album, the circumstances surrounding its creation played an important role in what is a rebirth of sorts. |
