Why Grade A

Small piercing.Big decision.

A nose piercing sits right in the middle of your face, so placement and jewelry have to be right. At Grade A Tattoos & Body Piercing, a Fort Wayne studio since 1999, our certified piercing professionals mark the spot, check it with you in the mirror, and only pierce once you've approved it.

Every nose piercing includes high-quality starter jewelry, a clear walkthrough of the procedure, and aftercare instructions. Our studios follow strict sterilization protocols with hospital-grade autoclaves and single-use needles, and we only pierce with implant-grade, nickel-free materials. We never use plated or mystery metals.

Looking for a nose piercing near Glenbrook Square or on the north side of Fort Wayne, IN? Both of our Fort Wayne studios pierce noses every day, and you don't need an appointment.

Which nose piercingshould you get?

Nostril piercing

The most requested nose piercing. It suits nearly everyone and can be worn as a small stud or, once healed, a hoop. Expect about 3–6 months of healing, and take care with anything that rubs your face, like towels and face masks.

Septum piercing

A septum piercing goes through the nasal septum and typically heals in 2–3 months. It's versatile, and many people like how easy it is to hide when they need to.

Bridge piercing

A bridge is a surface piercing across the top of the nose. It makes a bold statement, and your piercer will check whether your anatomy suits it. Booking ahead for this placement is a good idea.

Implant-grade only

Questions

Nose piercingFAQ.

How much is a nose piercing in Fort Wayne at Grade A?

Every nose piercing includes standard starter jewelry. Pricing depends on your piece, so we go over it with you directly — call your preferred studio or stop in.

Which heals faster, a nostril or a septum?

On our piercing menu, septum piercings typically heal in 2–3 months, while nostril piercings take 3–6 months. Everyone heals differently, and a piercing can look healed on the outside before the inside has finished, so complete the full healing period before changing jewelry.

Can I get a hoop in my nostril right away?

Your piercer chooses your initial jewelry for healing, with the right material, gauge, and length for the placement. Leave it in for the whole healing period. Once you are healed, come back and we will swap in a hoop or new stud safely.

How old do you have to be to get your nose pierced?

You must be 18 with a valid government-issued photo ID. For piercings, minors 16+ may be pierced with a parent or legal guardian present with matching ID. Some piercings have additional age restrictions, so call ahead if you have questions about specific age requirements.

Does a nose piercing hurt?

Pain varies by placement and individual tolerance, but most piercings take less than a second. Our piercers make the process as quick and comfortable as possible.

I have a bump on my nose piercing. What should I do?

Bumps are common and are usually caused by irritation rather than infection: touching, snagging, or harsh products. Keep up your saline routine, stop touching it, and do not remove the jewelry. If it does not improve within a few weeks, contact our team.

Can I bring my own nose ring?

For a new piercing, we require our own high-quality jewelry so it heals properly. Once you are fully healed, you can switch to your own jewelry of an appropriate material and size, or pick something from our piercing jewelry selection.
