How walk-ins work

Juststop by.

Grade A Tattoos has welcomed walk-ins in Fort Wayne since our North Clinton Street studio opened in 1999. Come in during business hours, tell the front desk what you're after, and we'll pair you with an available artist or piercer.

Walk-ins depend on who is free when you arrive. Weekends and evenings can be busy, so if your heart is set on a particular time, call ahead and we'll tell you how the day is looking. Our Glenbrook studio sits inside Glenbrook Square, so it's easy to drop in while you shop — walk-ins are welcome during mall hours.

Walk-in piercings are the simplest of all: no appointment, about 30 minutes start to finish, and every piercing includes jewelry. See the full menu on our piercing services page.

Walk-inFAQ.

Do you take walk-in tattoos in Fort Wayne?

Yes. Walk-ins are welcome at both Fort Wayne studios — 3615 N Clinton St and inside Glenbrook Square at 4201 Coldwater Rd — and at our Indianapolis studio, subject to artist availability. Smaller tattoos are the best fit for a walk-in.

Can I walk in for a piercing?

Yes. No appointment is needed for piercings at any of our three locations. The whole process usually takes about 30 minutes, and jewelry is included.

Is there a tattoo shop open on Sunday in Fort Wayne?

Both Grade A Fort Wayne studios are open Sunday from 12:00 PM – 6:00 PM. Our Indianapolis studio is also open Sunday, 12:00 PM – 6:00 PM. Hours may vary on holidays, so call ahead or check our social media.

What do I need to bring to a walk-in appointment?

A valid government-issued photo ID. You must be 18 to get a tattoo in Indiana. Minors 16+ may be pierced with a parent or legal guardian present with matching ID, and some piercings have additional age restrictions.

Will I get a specific artist if I walk in?

As a walk-in you'll work with whoever is available, and every artist on our team meets the same Grade A standards. If you want a particular artist, book in advance — some artists have waitlists for custom work.

What time should I walk in?

Any time during business hours, but arriving earlier gives the artist more time to fit your piece in before close. Calling the studio first is the easiest way to check how busy it is.

Can I walk in for laser tattoo removal?

Laser tattoo removal is offered at our Clinton Street studio only and starts with a free consultation. Call the Clinton studio or book online to set one up.
