Fort Wayne piercing studio
Piercings inFort Wayne, done right.
Looking for a piercing shop in Fort Wayne you can trust? Grade A Tattoos & Body Piercing has been piercing Fort Wayne since 1999 and has been voted Best Tattoo Shop in Fort Wayne every year since 2014. Our piercers work at both Fort Wayne studios, the flagship on North Clinton Street and the studio inside Glenbrook Square, and at our Castleton Square shop in Indianapolis. Walk-ins are welcome seven days a week.
Sterile technique and implant-grade jewelry
Body piercings are performed with sterile, single-use needles, and our equipment is processed in hospital-grade autoclaves. Starter jewelry is included in the price and is always implant-grade: ASTM F136 titanium, 14k or 18k solid gold, niobium or ASTM F138 surgical steel. No plated metals, no mystery alloys, and nothing containing nickel.
Ear, nose, oral and body piercings
Our menu covers lobes and the full curated ear (helix, tragus, conch, daith and industrial), nostril and septum piercings, lip, tongue, medusa, eyebrow and bridge piercings, navel piercings, and surface and dermal anchors. See our dedicated ear piercing and nose piercing pages for placement-by-placement details, or browse fine piercing jewelry for healed upgrades.
Placement that fits your anatomy
Not every placement suits every body. Your piercer checks your anatomy first, marks the placement, and you approve it in the mirror before anything happens. If a placement won’t heal well on you, we’ll tell you honestly and suggest an alternative that will.
Aftercare support for the whole healing period
You leave with written instructions, and our piercing aftercare guide is always online. Downsizing, jewelry checks and troubleshooting are complimentary. Questions about pricing or availability? Call (260) 485-8258 or book online.

Questions
Fort Wayne piercingFAQ.
What to know before your next piercing at Grade A.
How much does a piercing cost in Fort Wayne?
Every piercing includes standard implant-grade starter jewelry. Pricing depends on your piece, so we go over it with you directly — call your nearest studio or stop in and our piercers will walk you through options for the placement and jewelry you want.
Do I need an appointment for a piercing?
No. Walk-in piercings are welcome at both Fort Wayne studios, on North Clinton Street and inside Glenbrook Square, during business hours. For specialty placements like industrials, surface piercings or dermals, or to guarantee a specific piercer, booking ahead is recommended.
How old do you have to be to get pierced in Indiana?
You must be 18 or older with a valid photo ID. Minors aged 16–17 may receive select piercings with a parent or legal guardian present with matching documentation, and some placements have additional age restrictions. Call ahead with questions.
Is body piercing at Grade A sterile?
Yes. Body piercings are performed with sterile, single-use needles, and our tools are processed in hospital-grade autoclaves. Jewelry comes from sterile packaging and our studios exceed health department requirements. Ask your piercer to walk you through the process before you start.
What jewelry do you use for new piercings?
We only use implant-grade materials for initial piercings: ASTM F136 titanium, 14k and 18k solid gold, niobium and ASTM F138 surgical steel, all nickel-free. Threadless and internally threaded options are available.
Can I bring my own jewelry?
For initial piercings we require our own implant-grade jewelry to ensure proper healing. Once healed, you can switch to your own jewelry of the correct material and size, and we are happy to help with a safe jewelry change.
Does getting a piercing hurt?
Pain varies by placement and personal tolerance, but the piercing itself takes about a second. Lobes and navels are usually mild; cartilage, septum and nipple piercings are typically more intense but very quick.
How long does a piercing take to heal?
Healing time depends on placement. Tongue piercings can heal in 4–6 weeks and lobes in 6–8 weeks, while cartilage, navel and surface piercings can take 6–12 months. Leave your jewelry in for the full healing period.
What if I have a problem while my piercing heals?
Stop by any studio or give us a call. Troubleshooting, jewelry checks and downsizing advice are complimentary. Never remove jewelry from an irritated piercing on your own, as that can trap infection.
